UTMB staff, students among honorees on Daily News ’40 Under 40’ list

Eleven University of Texas Medical Branch staff and students have been included in the 2025 “40 Under 40” list created annually by The Galveston County Daily News.

The list, released in a special “40 Under 40” edition of The Daily News on July 16, honors individuals in Galveston County who are 40 years of age or younger and who demonstrate notable personal and professional success, along with a commitment to the communities in which they live and work. Honorees are decided by a panel of community leaders.

The UTMB-affiliated honorees for 2025 are:

  • Chad Allen, director, Revenue Cycle Solutions
  • Danni Dunn, Information Systems project manager
  • Luke Hamilton, medical student
  • Leslie Johnstone, pediatric physician assistant/Bay Colony
  • Brenna Knott, program manager—Internal Medicine, Marketing/Office of Innovation
  • Jacqueline Meyer, nursing program manager/vice chair, Institutional Review Board
  • Marisa Pelonero Bible, Education Specialist
  • Cesar Perez, medical student
  • Meagan Thibodaux, Environmental Health and Safety Supervisor
  • Jared Sheneman, Pharmacy Manager
  • Jennifer Young, Nurse Practitioner
