The funds raised by the Annual Komen Houston Race for the Cure help power local breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs.  Additionally, these funds support breast cancer programs for underserved women and men. 
 
To date, UTMB has received more than $4.5 million from Komen Race funds. You can have a real impact on breast cancer by being a part of the Race.

October is Breast Health Month!

Breast health specials in October: October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston will host or participate in numerous special events and programs to encourage breast health at its breast health and imaging locations throughout the Bay Area. Specials include free and reduced-price screening mammograms, a mobile mammogram program, extended clinic hours and self-referral screening mammograms, fundraising runs, a promotion featuring special coupons to Tanger Outlets, and much more.
