Childbirth Education ClassLearn everything you need to know about your upcoming birth and how to take care of your baby in this NEW online course.

This course includes information on preparing for the birth of your child and coping with labor and birth, hospital practices, induction and augmentation of labor, medications, epidurals, cesarean birth, postpartum, baby care, and breastfeeding.

All expecting moms are welcome to join our online childbirth education classes.

We also offer a separate online class on breastfeeding with more in-depth information to help you successfully bond with your baby and improve your chances of breastfeeding.

Our Online Childbirth Education class

The online course includes important information on the following topics:

  • Anatomy of pregnancy
  • Stages of labor
  • Breathing and relaxation tips
  • Tips for common discomforts
  • Support person's role
  • Celebration and recovery time
  • Postpartum depression
  • Breastfeeding and infant care

Important Details:

  • Class cost is $50.00
  • Please register before your 28th week of pregnancy, with the goal of completing the class by your 36th week of pregnancy.
  • Once you register and receive a confirmation email with the class link, you will have access for 9 months.
  • Registration is complete once payment is received. Credit card, cash and checks accepted.

Our Online Breastfeeding class

The online course includes important information on the following topics:

  • How breastfeeding works
  • Latching on and proper positioning
  • When to feed your baby
  • Milk supply
  • Breast care
  • Breastfeeding lifestyle

Important Details:

  • Class cost is $50.00
  • Once you register and receive a confirmation email with the class link, you will have access for 9 months.
  • Registration is complete once payment is received. Credit card, cash and checks accepted.

Galveston Campus classes will be held Saturday from 9 a.m.– 4 p.m. The class will be held the second Saturday of the month on the following dates:

Important Details:

  • You should schedule classes with the goal of being completed by the 36th week of pregnancy. 
  • Please wear comfortable clothes and you may bring yoga mat and pillow.
  • Each mother is allowed to bring one support person to each class.
  • Registration is not complete until the payment has been received. Credit card, cash and checks accepted. 
  • Refunds for cancellations are subject to a $25 processing fee and must be requested prior to the date of the first class. Please call Julie Tavarez-Bunyan at (832) 632-7564.
