The University of Texas Medical Branch Departments of Community & Population Health, and Surgical Oncology, will present a Breast Cancer Awareness Community Resource Fair on October 17, 2022, between 8AM and 4PM. The event will be held in the parking lot of the UTMB Health Primary and Specialty Care Clinic, 10121 Emmett F. Lowery Expressway, Texas City.

Judge Ellisor has guided the HOPE Drug Court from its inception in 2012. This collaborative effort brings the District Attorney’s office together with the Criminal Defense Bar, Galveston County Probation and local substance use disorder treatment providers to benefit individuals whose involvement with the criminal justice system stems from substance use disorders.

Annual Santa Fe Chamber event set for Oct. 13 will feature dinner, a bra decorating contest and style show. Proceeds from the festivities will benefit the UTMB Mobile Mammography Program.

UTMB Health Saturday Sports Injury Clinic starts Aug. 27: Every Saturday from Aug. 27 to Nov. 5, UTMB is offering a youth and school Saturday Sports Injury Clinic beginning Aug. 27 from 9 to 11 a.m. at 10121 Emmett F. Lowry Expressway in Texas City. The sports medicine team is trained to treat a full range of sports injuries, from strained muscles and twisted ankles to knee and shoulder pain.
