Dr. Erica Kelly serves as the Director of the UTMB Cosmetic Dermatology Division. Dr. Kelly was the founder and inaugural member of the Cosmetic Division. She is a board certified dermatologist with a cosmetic focus on Botox, fillers, and lasers. Throughout her career, she has focused on delivering natural results based on the patient’s individual needs and desired outcome.
She was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and received her undergraduate and medical degrees from Louisiana State University where she graduated with Alpha Omega Alpha honors at the top of her class. After medical school, she completed her residency at UTMB in Galveston where she has remained since and currently serves as a Clinical Professor in the Department of Dermatology.
During her time at UTMB Dr. Kelly has received numerous honors including being recognized as a Texas Super Doctor by Texas Monthly five years in a row, a Houstonia Top Doctor, Best of Galveston, Dermatology, and Best of Galveston Cosmetic Surgery.
Dr. Kelly has published articles in peer reviewed journals and has been invited to speak at over 20 symposia and conferences. In addition to her clinical responsibilities Dr. Kelly enjoys working with and teaching residents and medical students and has trained many dermatologists in cutting edge cosmetic treatments using injectables and energy-based devices. She has won numerous teaching awards from UTMB medical students (Dermatology Interest Group) and the dermatology residents.
