Dr. Katherine Hicks is a board certified, double-fellowship trained Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon. She grew up in Greenville, South Carolina, and graduated from Clemson University Honors College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biosystems Engineering. She also received a Master's degree in Bioengineering from Clemson University prior to attending medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina, where she was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
She completed her residency in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. She then pursued a fellowship in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Northwestern, receiving training in a broad range of cosmetic procedures from internationally known Facial Plastic Surgeons Dr. Regan Thomas and Dr. Douglas Sidle. After completing this, she pursued a second fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology, Cleft & Craniofacial Surgery at University of California – Davis, focusing on complex reconstructive surgery and cleft lip & palate surgery.
Dr. Hicks successfully completed these two fellowships, focusing exclusively on cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face and neck. She specializes in functional and cosmetic nasal surgery (rhinoplasty or “nose job”), cosmetic facial surgery (facelift, eyelid surgery), skin cancer reconstruction, scar revision, facial trauma, and pediatric cleft & craniofacial procedures. When she's not working, she is a full-time Clemson Tigers fanatic and enjoys watching football, running, reading, art, and spending time with her family, friends, and beloved four-legged companion.
