  Assistant Professor specializing in Pediatric Surgery at the University o

 e in biochemistry from Texas A&amp\;M in College Station before pursuing h

  received her medical degree from the University of Nevada Reno School of 
 Medicine. After her medical training\, Dr. Behnia completed her Obstetrics
  and Gynecology residency at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences 
 Center and her MFM fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch in
  Galveston.Her clinical interests include prenatal ultrasound screening an
 d diagnosis\, genetic screening and diagnosis\, management of pregnancies 
 with complex maternal medical conditions or congenital fetal abnormalities
 . Her research interests include oxidative stress induced senescence of fe
 tal membranes and its role in parturition\, and impact of environmental to
