Dr. Virginia Rauth practices General Obstetrics and Gynecology and welcomes patients for Maternity Care and Women’s Health Care, including preventative health care, family planning, menstrual disorders, menopausal problems, and women’s female surgery.
She is the Section Chief for Women’s Health Care-Galveston and an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Rauth received her Medical Degree and Obstetrics and Gynecology residency training from Texas Tech University. She received her undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree from Baylor University. She holds a Master of Business Administration from Texas Tech University.
She is Board Certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is active on the national and state level promoting women’s issues in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Texas Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists where she holds committee and officer appointments.
She was given the Outstanding Professor for Resident Education award by the resident physicians in Obstetrics and Gynecology at UTMB for the year 2007-2008.
Dr. Rauth enjoys her free time pursuing family activities with her husband, children, and grandchildren.
