Dr. Brooks’ areas of interest include sports medicine, and hip and knee replacement. He will provide patient care at the UTMB Orthopaedic South Shore Clinic and at Victory Lakes in League City.
Dr. Brooks earned his MD from Finch University of Health Sciences, The Chicago Medical School, in 2000. He completed a preliminary Surgery internship at Oregon Health Sciences University (2000-2001), followed by a Surgery internship (2001-2002) and Orthopaedic Surgery residency (2002-2006,) at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He also completed fellowships in Sports Medicine at Wayne State University, Detroit Medical Center (2006-2007), and in Adult Reconstruction (Hip and Knee Replacement) at the University of Texas Health Science Center, Houston (2009-2010). Dr. Brooks previously was employed at the Detroit Medical Center Sports Medicine Institute.
