Angelica S. Robinson, M.D. is an Assistant Professor of Radiology with a focus in breast imaging. After completing a diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dr. Robinson was awarded her Board certification in Diagnostic Radiology through the American Board of Radiology.
Dr. Robinson then pursued advanced medical training and completed a dedicated one year Mammography fellowship through the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. This Mammography fellowship allowed her to specialize in new and innovative advances in breast imaging including breast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and MRI guided biopsies. In addition, Dr. Robinson works closely with the UTMB Nuclear Medicine department for the interpretation of molecular breast imaging which serves as a critical adjunct to mammography in appropriate cases. Dr. Robinson is a passionate educator who remains committed to providing exceptional medical student education, and her role as the Associate Program Director for the UTMB diagnostic radiology department allows her to significantly contribute to residency curriculum and development.
She serves as the Chief of Section, Breast Imaging, at the UTMB Specialty Care Center at Victory Lakes, and as Director-at-Large for the Gulf Coast Region of the Breast Health Collaborative of Texas. The Breast Health Collaborative is a network of more than 350 nonprofit and corporate organizations and individuals dedicated to improving access to breast health services. Their mission is to educate, advocate, and leverage resources to ensure no Texan goes without breast health care.
