If your prior mammogram was not performed at UTMB, you will need to make arrangements to obtain your films and reports which will be needed for comparison. Since you will be gowning, we recommend that you wear a two piece outfit for your comfort. PLEASE DO NOT wear any deodorant, powder or lotion under your arms or around your breasts; these products can intefere with your scan.

Please REFRAIN from taking any blood thinning medications such as Aspirin, Advil, Aleve or large quanities of Vitamin E, at least 3 TO 4 days BEFORE your appointment. If you are on a prescription blood thinner, such as Coumadin, please obtain your physician’s consent before stopping. You may take all other prescription medication. If you may have trouble hearing or understanding instructions or need assistance, please consider bringing a friend with you
