During your hospital stay, you may need to speak with someone who understands hospital procedures and will assist you and your family with non-medical problems or concerns. Our Patient Advocate Specialists are familiar with all services provided by the hospital and will assist in answering questions that may arise during your stay.
Patient Services comprises advocates, interpreters, patient escorts and support staff who support patients and staff in the resolution of patient concerns as well as provide assistance with service related patient needs.
Patient Advocate Specialists are available 8 a.m.–5 p.m., Monday–Friday, by dialing (409) 772-4772.
If you should need assistance after hours or during the weekend, contact the hospital operator and ask to speak to the Nurse Administrator on call.
While typically not at off-campus clinic locations, UTMB Patient Advocates are also available to assist patients of UTMB's clinics.
